The Story
From a young age, I was immersed in a family where sewing and design were integral parts of our daily life. My mother, with her home workshop, dressed everyone in the neighborhood, instilling in me a love for fashion and a desire to stand out with my unique style. This early experience shaped my vision and led me to pursue a professional career as a Fashion Stylist.
My passion for hats began in my youth. I used to wear them on every trip to the islands, making them my personal signature. Over time, I discovered the art and originality of hats crafted by the Wayuu indigenous people from La Guajira. During my visits to Colombia, I was often the only one in the group wearing them, which deepened my appreciation for my roots and traditions.
While living with my parents in Colombia, I took the initiative to open my own boutique. This space allowed me to share my collections directly with clients, offering a personalized experience that embodied the essence of CristinaMar. It was a place where fashion enthusiasts could explore and connect with the stories behind each creation.
CristinaMar emerged from the fusion of my experiences, heritage, and fashion vision. Each piece tells a story, celebrating culture and a passion for authenticity. In addition to our hat collections, we offer limited editions like the Evil Eye and the Fedora line, each designed to highlight the individuality and style of those who wear them.
Many have asked why I haven’t ventured into clothing design, considering my experience and taste. The answer is simple: I wish to enjoy this process without stress, adding my personal touch to attire that complements our hats. I prefer to focus on what truly excites me and where I believe I can offer something unique to the fashion world.
